We are interested in what you can add to Orwell’s history!
Orwell-related documents (letters, journals, diaries, local publications and ledgers), photographs, objects (tools, clothing and artifacts),
and media will be considered. We hope we can meet you in person, but if you leave your item in our absence, please tell us what you can
about your donation and provide your contact information. The OHS meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month, and we will inform you
shortly after our meeting regarding our decision to accession the item(s) for the collection.
Thank you for supporting our mission and your interest in helping
to build a community collection. Guided by collection policies, we
honor our responsibility to preserve and share your contributions.

DOCUMENTS
Handwritten and published documents, including letters, journals, diaries, ledgers by residents as well as seasonal workers; local business pamphlets, calendars, and ephemera; and records related to Orwell town government and organizations.

PHOTOGRAPHS
Including but not limited to private and town organizations, businesses, homes, farms, roads, and schools, portraits of anyone associated with Orwell, livestock and landscape.

ARTIFACTS
Objects produced by or related to Orwell residents and businesses, including clothing, tools, and household items.

MEDIA
Audio recordings and home movies documenting activities, events, places and livelihoods of Orwell.
The museum is managed by the OHS, a small and dedicated group of volunteers.
